We’ve been tracking Barbiecore, a design trend full of nostalgia and all things pink that started in fashion since the Fall of 2022. Now, with Barbie movie quickly approaching, we wanted to revisit the Big Barbie Energy that seems to be everywhere!
While we predict this to be an ‘of-the-moment’ trend more than a long lasting design style, we can’t ignore the playful energy that’s moving into design, at least for a little while. Paint producer Mylands, described as Britian’s oldest purveyor of luxury paint has even chosen a very Barbie-inspired pink as their color of the year for 2023.
New off-shoots to the boldly pink trend are also popping up like Miamicore which Bustle describes as “Cool girl meets the Golden Girls” with pastel hues and a kitschy coastal feel. What would your Barbie inspired dream home look like?
