While the appeal of retro is not necessarily new news, we continue to see it popping up at tradeshows and trendspotting. At the most recent High Point furniture market, vintage vibes were strong – especially with patterns and soft goods.

These layered fabrics felt fresh yet familiar – we can just picture them adding the perfect accent to a cool, cozy home.

Retro Auto

This one was close to home! We visited the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this September to track new vehicle trends, along with lifestyle and design stories.

One new concept that caught our eye was the Ford Bronco Heritage Edition, sporty and fun with a playful stripe that carried inside and out. We could see this parked outside some of the new home trends we’ve been tracking as well!

Retro Tech

We expanded our tech coverage this year to include IFA Berlin, the “world’s largest consumer electronics and home appliances tradeshow”. Interestingly, we found that the future of tech included quite a bit of nostalgia.

One notable find was the “Retro Collection” from Gorenje that featured retro colors and VW Bus styling.
